Music by The Beatles
A few years ago, I got a Beatles album on Vinyl. The album, called 1, brought together their greatest hits in one vinyl. Well, as many greatest hits as you could fit in a record. There are many more songs that did not make the cut. The Beatles wrote so many good songs. It was one of my first vinyl records and I loved it. At the time, I was listening to Beatles music regularly and I learned words to many of my favourite songs.
I was reading a blog post on Hey Georgie's blog about 2022. In that post, Georgie mentions The Beatles. It got me thinking about a conversation I had with someone in Mexico a few months ago about The Beatles. We discussed how their music may not be the most rhythmically complex in the world but their songs are gold. The Beatles wrote great music and lyrics. If I hear a song like Hey Jude, I want to sing it aloud, no matter where I am.
I have a question for you readers: what is your favourite Beatles song(s) and why? Mine are Eleanor Rigby, Come Together, Hey Jude, and Let it Be. Those four songs represent a great mix of music. Those songs attest to the diversity in rhythm and meaning that The Beatles achieved across their music. Those songs have a certain catchiness that I cannot describe. Oh, and how could I forget about With a Little Help From My Friends.
Now that I have said my piece, I think I'm going to listen to a Beatles song. Come Together, play away! as James goes over to Spotify to play the tune so as to be able to quickly turn on the song
