I was walking around Edinburgh today. On my way down a street with a narrow pavement, I was in a position where it was unclear to me in what direction I should walk. The person in front of me shuffled one way and I did, too.
I recall looking up at her and smiling because it was obvious that both of us weren't exactly sure in what way the other was going to walk. While this moment was slightly awkward, the fact that we both acknowledged it and smiled was heartwarming.
I recall a particularly amusing situation a few months ago where me and another person, if memory serves, moved in the same direction 2-3 times before we finally agreed on a direction that we could walk in without walking into the other person.
