A few weeks ago, awaiting the arrival of a train, I stopped to play piano. While playing, someone left a hand-written note on top of the piano. I didn't get to look at them was I was immersed in the music. Thus, I shall perhaps never know who left the note. The note contained a quote:
"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any." - Alice Walker
This act of kindness made my day. I have kept the card and think about it often. I was feeling a bit down that day, and this note cheered me up with both the sentiment and the unexpectedness. Although the odds are small, should the person who left that note come to my blog, thank you!
