Earlier this evening, I walked up to the curtain in my bedroom, a part of my daily routine that signifies the day is about to conclude. Now the skies are brighter outside in the early evening hours, the sky sometimes retains a bit of a dark blue colour when I go to close the curtain. A colour that will surely fade away as night approaches. Before my hand touched the curtain, I heard bird song. A musical delight. I recalled memories of being a child and hearing birds sing as the day wound down and I was getting ready for bed.
This was one of those little moments of joy ^1.
