Porridge Overflow is not a delicious tale about a variant of stack overflows. Rather, porridge overflow is what just happened when I went to prepare a bowl of porridge. With an episode of Frasier in the background, I prepared some porridge using the microwave. After the microwave had chimed, indicating my bowl of deliciousness was ready, I opened the door to find... A porridge overflow.
Take it from me: cleaning up porridge that has spilled onto a microwave dish is not fun. Yet I was laughing out loud. I have no idea what caused the porridge overflow. My current operating theory is that I set the timer too long on the microwave, as the texture of the porridge was slightly thicker than usual. After cleaning up (most) of the porridge in the microwave, I then had to clear the bowl. And the part of my slipper on which I dropped some porridge.
The phrase porridge overflow itself is making me laugh.
