The sun was beaming from the sky. In a few hours, I knew the sun would show its last golden glow for the day. As I write, that golden glow is here now; the sun is slowly approaching the horizon of hills. Soon, it will be night time.
I walked around a pond and saw many ducks walking around, seemingly eager for food. I turned a corner around the bush where many birds congregate to find two young women feeding the birds. They laughed as swans got closer.
On their departure from the bench on which they were sitting, they continued to feed the ducks, edging backwards as more came to collect the bread they had thrown. I continued walking, hearing more laughs in the background. In this moment, I felt joy. There is something special about hearing people laugh.
